New to Bowls

An Invitation to Non-Members and Beginners

If you would like to come along to the Club and have a look, please feel free to do so at any time. You’ll find the club in use most evenings or weekends during the summer season. There is plenty of seating around the green for spectators; after all, what could be more relaxing on a warm summer’s afternoon than watching a game of bowls? Remember, visitors are always welcome.

If you wish to try your hand at bowls, you’ll need to be accompanied by a member. The best thing to do is speak to one of our bowlers, who should be able to arrange for you to have an introductory session with an instructor, or offer to accompany you for a ‘roll-up’.
Club bowls,  shoes,  mats and jacks are available to use. New bowlers are encouraged to take some instruction and coaching sessions can be easily arranged. You’ll always find Camberley bowlers understanding and prepared to offer guidance and encouragement.
After an initial introduction and in order to continue bowling, you will need to become a member. You can pick up a membership form from the clubhouse or print it off online.

 Application Process

Applications for membership are made via our Membership Application Form which is available online here.  This should be printed, completed and sent or delivered to:-

Membership Secretary
Camberley Bowling Club
London Road Recreation Ground

Surrey GU15 3QQ

A proposer and a seconder from the club will be needed to support the application.
The application form will be displayed on the main club notice board for one week to enable members to comment and it will then be put before the club committee.
