Covid-19 Information

Please note that this guidance has been updated at
28th February 2022, in accordance with the latest Government guidance.

Dear Members,

We hope you are keeping well.

From Monday 19th July 2021, Bowls England advised that Clubs are not required to enforce any COVID restrictions by law. They still recommended that Government guidance on mask wearing indoors is still adhered to by Clubs, and that all Clubs continue to utilise the NHS COVID app to ensure the spread of the virus is limited.

Bowls England also stated that they were sure that the bowls community would respect people’s personal choices regarding masks, social distancing and their own well-being.

From 24 February 2022, the government guidance that applies to ENGLAND is as follows:

  • You will not be legally required to self-isolate if you test positive for COVID-19. Stay at home if you can and avoid contact with other people.
  • You will not have to take daily tests or be legally required to self-isolate following contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

These guidelines will be regularly reviewed and will be changed as appropriate.

Bookings for rollups are no longer required, but bookings for competitive matches should still be made.  Click here for more details.

Let’s hope we can enjoy getting back on the green again this summer without any further Covid-19 restrictions.
